PadLeader.com - Guenter F. Wendt
Interesting little story here. Guenter Wendt was born in Berlin and later emigrated to the US where he worked as Pad Leader for NASA. He was the one closing the launch pad doors of all manned Apollo, Skylab and ASTP flights.
Here Wikipedia and his biography.

Soviet Venus Images
A fascinating “photoshopped” picture of Venus’ surface. I didn’t know we actually landed on Venus already.
Fun fact: Venus slowly rotates on its axis once every 243 Earth days, while it orbits the Sun every 225 days - its day is longer than its year.

World champion freediver Guillaume Nery special dive at Dean’s Blue Hole, the deepest blue hole in the world filmed entirely on breath hold by the french champion Julie Gautier. Stunning.

Half documentary, half music video, fully awesome. Good idea to go full screen.

I just came across this on YouTube and found it incredibly moving.  It’s someone scanning the FM radio dial in New York City the night of December 8th, 1980.  There’s no words to describe it.  It truly speaks for itself.

Wow, impressive.
