last night, they had this earth hour thing going on and because i am working in berlin anyway, i was asked to take a picture of berlin’s fernsehturm “alex” as they (deutsche telekom, who runs it) turned off the lights. i expected something more awesome, like that church doing the same thing, but all the other lights stayed on.
the failures and overpowering that happen at the moment where everyone who takes part in this turns their lights back on are a bit critical. other than that, it would just help if people didn’t always have all lights always on, but whom am i telling this… people who read this probably know.
i am just posting these pictures because it is my first night shot in a really long time (years?) and i like it.
Noo, only non-Berliner call the Fernsehturm Alex! :-) The tower is just called Fernsehturm. The place in front of it (actually the one East of the train station) is the Alexanderplatz.
